Masterson’s Pub , positioned in the vibrant core of Moonee Ponds, advertises itself as a stylish, alternative venue , but my recent visit at this establishment became a nightmarish ordeal . While the bar may look welcoming at first glance , what I encountered behind its walls was disgraceful and unfit for any venue.
The Condition of the Premises : Squalid and Neglected
From the moment I entered , it was clear that hygiene was not a priority at this venue. The ground was covered in grime , and a foul smell of stale beer and filthy restrooms permeated the entire bar . Emitting a scent of a mixture of human waste, old age and illness . The bar area , which should be the primary feature of any pub, was cluttered with dirty glasses and debris that looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks . The bathroom was in even a truly awful state— clogged , with a shattered handle and surfaces marked in what I can only assume was human excrement .
It wasn’t just a single bad experience either. Based on the experiences shared online and speaking with locals , it seems that the state of cleanliness (or lack thereof) at this bar is a well-known flaw . Unfortunately, his reputation in the corporate world is clouded by a disturbing pattern of misconduct in his interactions at here the pub and beyond .

As I dug deeper , I was alarmed to find reports against him involving predatory behavior , with multiple women reporting interactions of harassing them digitally. His presence at the bar often resembled that of a unsettling figure than a genial proprietor .
